Have you ever felt like quitting?
Like the odds are so stacked against you
that you might as well just give in and give up.
I was reading Genesis ch 32 this morning about Jacob wrestling with God at Peniel and this is what God said to me.
“It is in the secret place with Me that you will find your strength. It is only as Jacob drew aside in his dark night of fear that he found Me and laid hold of Me. It is only as you “wrestle” with Me – as you passionately cry out
“I will not let you go unless you bless me” that I will know the depth of your hearts desire.
Now is not the time to quit.
Now is not the time to shrink back and lose heart.
When the night seems at its darkest you are nearest to your dawn breakthrough.
Don’t quit!
Don’t step back into apathy.
Don’t “take your foot off the gas and just coast”.
I long for men and women who will take hold of Me and never let go crying out “I will not let You go unless you bless me!”
Say it like you mean it
Live it like you mean it.
This is a picture of prevailing prayer. Of constancy. Of passion.
Of a “never quit” mentality.
Are you ALL IN or halfway out of the door?
Stay passionately committed with every ounce of strength you have left and
I will replenish.
I will restore.
I will rebuild.
I will redeem!
You have started well
Are you going to finish well?
Are you going to be there at the finish line to see all that we accomplished together?
Stay contending for ALL that I have for you and for those who you love.
Keep pressing in just like Jacob did!
