Have you ever felt you were “running on empty?” Everything seems too much trouble, you’re not just “bone-weary” you’re “soul-weary” – to the core of your being!!
That is the lie Satan would like to spin you. It is not the truth of who you are in Him. Living without God is like living in a desert. You are always looking for that “oasis” to replenish and invigorate yourself. The enemy of our souls wants us to concentrate on what we do NOT have and any unfulfilled desires we may be experiencing. That’s a spiral in the wrong direction that leads only to discouragement and disillusionment.
Generally I’m a “glass half-full” kinda gal but God showed me today that I am so MUCH MORE than that in Him and I want to share it with you!
The Bible is full of verses about how FULL we are in God. Fit to burst actually!!!!
Psalm 16:11 “In Your presence there is fullness of joy”
Ephesians 3:19 “Live full lives, full in the fullness of God”
John 10:10 “My purpose is to give life in all its fullness”
If you read Psalm 42 and 43 David had just about “had it”!!!! He was so weary from listening to "the enemy's" lies and fighting off his attacks!!! He was so depressed at what appeared to him to be God’s neglect. He was almost sinking into despair as the enemy taunted him
“Where is this God of yours?
Why doesn’t He help you?
Have you ever felt like that? I sure have!
But David knew where to go to find help!
“I long to drink of You, drinking deeply from the streams of pleasure flowing from Your Presence” Psalm 42:1
Psalm 42:4 “So I speak over my heartbroken soul “Take courage!”
Psalm 42:7 “My deep need calls out to the deep kindness of Your love”
Then in Psalm 43:2 he writes “Pour into me the brightness of Your daybreak, Pour into me Your rays of revelation-truth”
