I love the story of the feeding of the 5,000 in John ch 6; there is so much encouragement for us in this event. Twelve baskets filled with leftovers. Our bountiful God did not just give them ENOUGH to stop them being hungry, He was over-the-top generous. As my son would say they were “stuffed to the rafters” That’s how God gives to His children “pressed down, shaken together and running over”
When we read “My God shall supply all of your needs according to His riches in Glory” in Philippians 4:17 we always think of finances and abundance in the natural realm but today I want to encourage you to lift your eyes UP and believe that God will supply all your spiritual needs too.
He has riches untold that He wants to share with you;
a wealth in the Spirit.
1 Kings ch 17 speaks of 3 kinds of lack:
LACK of water at Cherith v2-7 LACK of bread and oil with the widow of Zarephath v8-16 LACK of Life in v17-23
He is the God of more than enough!
He will give us all that we need from the storehouses of Heaven to be rich and vibrant and overflowing in our spiritual lives.
Satan will tell you:
1. You are not enough 2. That God is not enough
But he is a thief and a liar!!!!!
There is no lack in God and because of this truth there is no lack in you either!
Don’t talk yourself into doubt and fear. Remember 1 Kings 17:16 “For no matter how much they used there was always enough”. You have the oil of His Holy Spirit, the Bread of His Word. He has breathed into you His very own supernatural life
“The same Holy Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in you” Romans 8:11.
Nothing shall be impossible! Don’t let the apparent lack you see with your natural eyes blind you to the abundance that is always available in Him. Look with eyes of faith at your faithful, bountiful, generous God who gives freely.
Everything He touches is coming alive!
All Elijah had to do was BE where God told him to be and DO what He told him to do. God took care of the rest.
It has always been that way – so it is with you!
